Pet owners love Steve’s Real Food Pork Diet for cooling properties that are great for allergy dogs. Unlike the Chicken and Turkey Diet, Pork contains chia seeds which boost its cooling properties and is great for detoxing. One of the differences between Steve’s and other raw meat diets is our meat-to-veggie ratio of 80% to 20%. Ingredient Benefits
Steve’s Pork Recipe is a complete and balanced diet for both cats and dogs. According to ancient Chinese medicine, pork is a neutral/cool food. We boost this cooling factor by adding the anti-inflammatory chia seed and raw goat milk, to make this an ideal food for the “hot” dog or highly allergic dog. We give it an additional nutritional punch by adding organic coconut oil which acts as an anti-fungal and anti-microbial with the added benefit of high levels of medium chain triglycerides.
PORK – is a neutral protein which is beneficial for dogs with inflammation and/ or allergies. The pork is slightly higher in protein than chicken and also is a good source Zinc and essential B-Vitamins.
BROCCOLI – has a concentration of Vitamins A, C, and K, Folate, and fiber which make this vegetable a super food. Broccoli has been known is also a cooling food which gives it additional anti-inflammatory properties.
CARROTS are a good source of Vitamin A, which is known to help with vision and cellular regrowth. Their high levels of dietary fiber also make them a good digestive aid.
EGGSHELL MEMBRANE is the actual lining of the eggshell, a high-quality ingredient. It is a great source of glucosamine and chondroitin.
CHIA SEED was a staple food for the ancient Aztecs, due to its high level of protein and energizing power. Chia seeds contain double the fiber, double the protein, and over 800 mg more omega-3 than ground flax. Two tablespoons of chia has more omega-3 than two servings of farmed salmon. Omega-3 fatty acids are vital in fighting inflammation, boosting brain function, enhancing mood, and strengthening the immune system.
RAW GOAT MILK – is one of the most complete foods there is because it has almost all the vitamins and minerals needed to sustain life. It is even more similar to breast milk than baby formula. Unlike cow’s milk, it has many more short and medium-chain fatty acids which make it much more digestible.
